There was a time when Isa Fabro thought that nothing in the world would make her happier than cutting carrots all day. After starting out at different courses, trying different things, food was the thing that appealed to her most. It was that thought that led her to change career tracks and become a chef. The Canada-born Fil-Am found herself working for famous chefs and world-renowned restauranteurs.

But it was in pastry that she found herself. After a month long trip to explore the flavors of the Philippines, Isa found her signature flavors. She calls herself a ‘Tastemaker’, and from Unit 120, her LA store in Far East Plaza, she makes good on the title. From banana latik and mango Royal to her now famous Kougin Amann ensaymadas (or isaimadas) with ube. Her holiday pies are a huge hit, and we can’t wait to see what sweet delights come out of the kitchen next!
