Contrary to what the movies may tell you, not all bosses are horrible. And when Christmas time comes around, making sure you add your office superior to your Christmas list is just proper decorum. And if your gift is impressive and well-remembered, well good for you, then! In case you’ve been stumped at choosing a gift that is appropriate and classy, we’ve got a few recommendations you may want to check out.

Personalized Stationery Set

When it comes to notes, memos and reminders, there’s nothing more useful in the office than a notepad and a pen. Help your boss take it a notch higher by gifting them with a personalized stationery set. A simple notepad and pen combination will do nicely, or if you choose to splurge a little, gift notes are nice too. Check out these fun illustrated options by Rifle Paper Co., one of our favorite stationery companies or these letter-based prints from Modern Pink Paper.

A Christmas Hamper

There’s no way you can go wrong with sending your boss a simple, tasteful basket of food. But while the easy tendency is to grab a hamper from the supermarket and gift, why not try looking for something more localized? In Manila, smaller restaurants and businesses like Xocolat and The Fruit Garden offer unique gift baskets that are sure to stand out in the pile.

Christmas Blend Coffee

With everyone scrambling to complete their stickers while sipping copious amounts of coffee, sometimes we just want to have a nice cup of Christmas coffee without having to leave our desk. So why not grab a special Christmas coffee blend for your boss to keep the Christmas cheer for the whole year? Who knows, they may even share it with the rest of the office.

Wine

Ah, wine. So difficult to choose, but always thoughtful. We always recommend giving a bottle of a nice, red wine. You can’t go wrong with a nice Rioja or Cabernet Sauvignon (ask your local shop for recommendations!) But to give it a more personal feel, why not stick on a personalized label? There are plenty of printables to be found online, and it’s easy enough to stick on to your everyday bottle.

Office Snacks

It’s the middle of the day, you’re rushing a deadline when you realize—you’re hungry. It sucks because you can’t leave your desk, but the pangs are so real you can’t work. It happens even to the best of people, so why not package a jar of healthy office snacks for your boss to much on? This depends on your office policies, of course, but a little ribbon around a jar of homemade trail mix or granola is always a hit.

Be sure to check out our gift guide for pet owners too! You never know who may need it.
