Five Romantic Places to Visit With Bae

Everyone has a bucket list, and we like to think that every couple has their own bucket list of places to visit. Sure it may be too early (or too late?) to book the honeymoon, but it’s fun to imagine you and your significant other holding hands and walking through these romantic destinations. We chose our five favorite European spots outside of Paris to add to your bucket list!

Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France

What could be more romantic than the garden of an Impressionist? Claude Monet was very proud of his home in Giverny, a place he built himself and for his family. The garden his constantly featured in his paintings, especially in his later life. You and your bae can visit his studio and hold hands through his lush gardens. A must see, especially in the spring!

Charles Bridge, Prague

You may find the Charles Bridge difficult to take a photo in—the medieval bridge is one of the most famous tourist spots in Prague. But don’t be fooled, there is a lot of love to be found here. The bridge overlooks the Vltava river, creating gorgeous views anywhere you turn. Under the bridge, there are small pastry stalls and cafes to see the sunset. What could be more romantic?

St. James’ Park, London

Lying just in front of Buckingham Palace, with a view of 10 Downing Street, St. James’ Park is arguably one of the most romantic spots in London. It’s a lovely place to walk, with the buildings in the background providing something of a fairytale backdrop to your photos. Cherry blossom trees have been found growing here too!

Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Monaco

If there's a place that's grander than Paris, Monaco is your next best bet. This stunning destination along the coast of France is home to gorgeous architecture, and is a wonderful place to visit with bae. Skip the casino and head straight to the seaside opera. The elegant opera house called the Salle Garnier is a red and gold beauty that just screams ‘love’ and was opened by legendary opera performer Sarah Bernhardt in 1879.

Spanish Steps to Piazza del Popolo, Rome

Rome is arguably one of the most romantic cities in the world, and doesn’t lack in romantic destinations. But the walk from the top of the Spanish Steps to the Piazza del Popolo in Rome guarantees perfect views the entire time. The higher elevation gives you a clear view of the whole city, leading up to a park where you see Italians sitting under trees, eating while street musicians play along. If that isn’t romantic, we don’t know what is.
