Our Cambio Market Christmas Haul

Written by: Carla De Guzman/Wednesday, Dec 06, 2017 02:34 PM

With almost everything a click of a button away, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle of gift-buying that it doesn’t feel all that special anymore. This Christmas, the move towards thoughtful and locally-made gifts makes gift-giving feel all the more special. The holidays are a great time to go out and find that special gift that you can’t find just anywhere else.

We teamed up with Cambio Market, a fair trade, supportive group of artisans that want to change the way business is done by empowering local makers. We would be happy to find any of these thoughtful and empowering gifts in our stocking this year!

The Sinta Bayong Bag by Vela Manila is the perfect piece of arm candy—the tote shape is great to just bring along on travels or quick trips to the mall, plus the gorgeous detail on the side makes this bag stand out from the pack.

We love, love, love Beyond Borders Philippines’ throws! Hand-woven in Ilocos using the traditional Abel weaving, the soft, lovely fabric is the perfect beach companion or maybe as a blanket for chilly nights? One in every color please, thanks!

The Mia crystal necklace by Tayo is so dainty and cute, which is just how we love our neck candy! The turquoise would add a fun pop of color to an otherwise bland outfit, and chase away the rainy day blues.

Olivia and Diego’s gorgeous bracelets are so pretty they’re almost iconic, and they’re made with upcycled tees! They’re the perfect piece of arm candy for the summer.

Move over Mexican blankets; we’re obsessed with these Guatemalan pillow covers by Ti’xar! They’re the perfect bits of bohemian gorgeousness to throw onto a couch or a bed!

We have to admit--we already own one of these bags from Akaba Co. These bags are small enough to carry around but big enough to bring along on sleepovers or day trips! These gorgeous bags are lined with beautiful, locally-made fabric, and we suggest snagging one before they’re all gone!

Which Filipino-made products are also on your wish list? Let us know!
