4 Simple Questions to Help You Identify Your Passion

Who isn't pursuing their passion nowadays? We're hearing stories of people quitting their jobs to travel the world, to open that dream cafe or to learn to play that instrument. When you've found your passion and can go for it, the world feels right. Your life feels more focused, blossoming with the purpose of a dream achieved.

But what if you haven't quite found that passion yet? How do you find it? We believe that everyone should have that opportunity. So we round up the four questions you can ask yourself, so you can find that spark of passion inside.

What excites you?

It's a simple enough question, with answers that can range from something extremely vague to something extremely specific. What makes your heart race and your pulse spike? Perhaps there's something in your excitement that can start a fire in you. Say, if you love books and find yourself hyped at the idea of a book fair, or a literary event, it may be a pretty good hint that your passion lies in writing. Likewise, if some unusual hobby or preoccupation excites you, that's also a pretty good indicator of where your interests lie.

What makes you lose track of time?

With all that time spent on the Internet, what topic is it that makes you stop and realize, "Oh, I've been spending a lot of time looking this up." It could be something as simple as baking videos and makeup blogs to making swords and weapons from your favorite games! If it makes you lose track of time, it means that you are truly interested in it and are willing to invest time and effort on it. It may be worth the pursuit.

What do you spend most of your money on?

If you know the answer to this, chances are, you already know what your passions are. Nothing in life comes for free, after all. If you find yourself willing to spend a sizeable amount of your hard-earned cash on traveling, buying photography equipment, books, sports gear, etc., pay attention as to why. Chances are, these aren't just hobbies. These are activities that truly add value to your life and make you happier. Remember though, a wise spender knows what their time and money are worth--try to discern what you spend on, and know when to hold back.

What makes you feel self conscious or afraid of being judged?

They say that fear makes a great motivator, and in our case, it's the fear of bejng judged. If we start to worry about what others will think or if it shows well, chances are that you may have found something you know you want. The fear is natural, and may never go away, but what separates you from your #goals is that they've done it. They've taken the leap and are living every day with the possibility of being judged. Are you?

Keep living your life in pursuit of your purpose and passion. #LNFindYourWhy
