5 Cleaning Hacks That Will Save You Time and Effort

We all need a few hacks to make cleaning faster and easier. Here are some of the most helpful tips that will make a big impact in your homes.

5. Squeegee All the Fur Away!

Cleaning carpets and rugs can be a nightmare when you have pets at home. A vacuum can fail to remove all the fur and hair - and you definitely don't want to pick them one strand at a time. To make sure you get them all out, use a squeegee by sliding it across the surface, then simply pick out the clumps and throw away.

4. Avoid Garbage Spills

Place a plastic bag in your trash bin then line it with newspaper so that it absorbs any spills and prevents leaks or strong odors.

3. Removing Marks or Stains from Walls

For crayon marks, use a toothbrush and a non-gel toothpaste that contains baking soda to scrub away those lines and drawings. If you have grease stains, on the other hand, just write over them with white chalk, leave it for a few seconds to absorb the grease, then wipe away with a damp cloth.

2. Razor Those Pillings

When small balls of fiber form on the surface of your cloth, take out an old razor (the blade shouldn’t be too sharp to cut through the cloth) and slide it across the surface to remove all those pillings!

1. The Trick to Cleaning Burnt Pans

No need to scrub like crazy. Fill the pan with enough water to cover the bottom, then add vinegar. Set it on the stove and let it boil. Turn it off, take it off the stove, and add two tablespoons of baking soda. Then empty the pan and scour until clean!
