A beautifully illustrated story book by the talented Oliver Jeffers, which is a funny “tale of trying to solve a problem by throwing things at it.”

2. Wild by Emily Hughes

3. Does My Goldfish Know Who I Am?

Kids say the darnest things, don’t they? This book collects the children’s funny yet insightful questions about science and life, in general. These were illustrated and answered by such brilliant minds as physicist Brian Cox, science writer Mary Roach, and Beatle Paul McCartney. Not only is it nice to look at, it’s also a wonderful resource for when your kids ask you something difficult.

4. Once Upon An Alphabet: Short Stories for All the Letters by Oliver Jeffers

It doesn’t matter if your kids are past toddler age – this book tells delightful stories about each letter through its quirky and imaginative illustrations.

5. The Baby Tree by Sophie Blackall

“Where do babies come from?” is the much dreaded question that leaves adults stumped, stuttering, or rushing out the door. With its beautiful illustrations and thoughtful storytelling, The Baby Tree is a lovely book to read to curious minds who want their questions answered.
